Come for the Food, Stay for the Company Richard Holmes pulled up on his tricycle not long after we first opened. And had been back nearly daily, sometimes multiple times a day, and without a doubt, had added thousands of friends to his world. We finally convinced him to write about some of the people he meets at our counter. We hope you enjoy his stories as much as we do.
Doo-Dah Diner is a landmark destination for gourmet American comfort food. Founded by husband and wife duo, Patrick and Timirie Shibley, in their hometown Wichita, KS, the diner has won over not only the hearts of their local community foodies, but those across the country. The effervescent love that fills their diner is not only a key ingredient in every painstakingly delicious from-scratch dish, but is extended to every person who enters its doors.
